Wave 3 Skills Bootcamps

What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps offer bespoke training solutions to bridge existing skills gaps within high demand sectors. Funded through the Department of Education and forming part of the National Skills Fund Skills Bootcamps place the employer at the centre of training and development.

Wave 3 Skills Bootcamps

The Combined Authority’s Skills Bootcamp offer

The West of England Combined Authority has identified 10 unique projects (lots) to support organisations, sector representative groups, employers and/or delivery partners in the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area to address skills shortages.

The programme will deliver flexible training programmes for adults (19+), lasting up to 16 weeks and a minimum of 60 guided learning hours. The flexible approach allows adults to train around existing commitments.

Participants will have access to in-demand skills training and a guaranteed interview with a local employer, with the aim of enabling the learner to secure a more sustainable job and higher wages over time.

Wave 3 Skills Bootcamps

How can I get involved?

The fund is seeking applications from consortia who can collaborate to co-design and co-deliver innovative approaches to address ‘in-demand’ skills.

These can be new or existing collaborations and can consist of any combination of employers, training providers, colleges, universities, sector representatives and/or other community charity organisations –  there is no set formula.

Applications are now closed. If you have any questions please email skills@westofengland-ca.gov.uk with the title ‘Skills Bootcamps’.
