Our Skills Bootcamp, created in partnership with renowned local studios Aardman and A Productions, focuses on 3D animation using Blender, where participants respond to an industry brief, working as a remote animation studio to craft a film in just 10 weeks.
This opportunity is ideal for recent animation graduates and those with self-taught skills who want to take their passion to the professional level. The Skills Bootcamp will include employability sessions with practical help and coaching to prepare for applying for an animation job.
The Skills Bootcamp will give participants an understanding of the animation pipeline from receiving the initial brief through to the delivery of the final film, as well as acquiring the skills needed to work in a creative studio, including communication, teamwork, goal setting, resilience, assertiveness and time management.
Wessex Water
This course is for Wessex Water staff as well as Wessex Water supply chain that are looking to upskill or add a skill set to their existing job role. For those that may well be using AutoCAD in their job role currently but are looking to increase their existing skill set.

Bath College
Targeted learners are those looking to change careers or upskill in their current employment. We have also identified several employers with vacancies in the region that require BIM assistants and are collaborating to support those looking for a new career.
Learners will set specific goals with their tutor and the Learning Outcomes Coordinator; this will be reflected upon at the end of each session and reviewed in week 6 and week 12. Upon completing the course, learners will be prepared to either enter employment or start their own business.
Participants will learn sector-specific employability skills from the tutor with guest speakers featured throughout the Skills Bootcamp. This will include Cool Ventures sharing how to become self-employed with their new skills and Future Bright offering support to those in employment.
Bath Spa University
Digital data is the fuel that powers the engine of the global economy. On the Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics and Machine Learning, delivered by Bath Spa University in partnership with The Data Place, Green Tech South West, Microsoft, Tech 4 Good, and Southwest 3SG, you’ll learn to understand and analyse this data. Learning about data science is valuable to any company, from statistics and insights across workflows to helping senior staff make better-informed decisions.
After completing the Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics and Machine Learning you'll possess the skills needed to pursue an entry-level role as a data scientist, data analyst, business analyst or data and analytics manager.
