That’s summer sorted. Children and young people under the age of 16 are set to be able to travel for free on buses across our region during the school holidays.

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority primarily funds these services, with additional support from central government for certain initiatives. In some cases, The Combined Authority collaborates with both the Unitary Authorities (local councils) and with private sector partners.
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority provides services to benefit people living and working in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Check out the map (PDF, 0.5MB) to cross reference your location.
The priorities for delivery of services in the region are set by the Mayor of the West of England.
Whilst there isn't currently a central consultation tool for you to have your say, most initiatives involve effective consultation with the public, other Unitary Authorities, and businesses in the region. Matters are also discussed in public Committee Meetings, to which you may submit questions, petitions and statements.
