Through the Careers Hub, we work with secondary schools and colleges to transform careers education for our region’s young people.
We want our region’s young residents to have the skills, information, advice and guidance they need to reach their full potential.
Our Careers Hub encourages collaboration between education providers, the public, and the business community to provide positive career outcomes for our young people. We are supported by the Careers and Enterprise Company.
The West of England Careers Hub is hosting its fifth Careers Leaders Conference, “A Decade of Careers Education: Reflecting, evolving, and building a meaningful future”.
Careers leaders, advisers, SLT, governors or teachers with careers responsibility in state schools and colleges throughout the region are invited to join careers professionals for practical workshops that will help you enhance employer connections, improve student support, and stay ahead of emerging trends. Leave with actionable strategies, new skills, and fresh ideas to make a real impact on your careers provision and boost student career readiness.

Since becoming an Enterprise Adviser in 2019, I have been supporting St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, which is conveniently located near our offices. This role has provided an opportunity to volunteer and assist the school in developing its strategic career programme and enhancing employer engagement opportunities.
Through my firm’s responsible business initiatives we’ve been able to provide meaningful employer engagement across all year groups including hosting students at our offices to give them a taste of what working in a corporate environment looks like. We also promote our work experience and mentorship schemes, access to student open days and careers talks highlighting the various roles available in a law firm and the different routes open to students interested in pursuing a career in law.
As Enterprise Advisor to St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School I’m delighted we’ve been able to form a partnership. This has enabled us to utilise volunteering opportunities within the firm to provide more resource to support the school’s careers programme including more employer engagement opportunities across all ages and a mentoring scheme.
