The LEP Board is the voice of business and universities into the West of England Combined Authority.
The Combined Authority and the LEP have worked with Government and the business community to develop a Local Industrial Strategy that sets out clear priorities to drive long-term growth in our regional economy. The strategy draws on the unique strengths of our region and sets out our ambition to be a driving force for clean and inclusive growth.
We have also created a short summary of the strategy: The West of England – A place of collaboration, ingenuity and creativity
Our ambition for the region is for clean economic growth that benefits every resident and the LEP supports business and residents through a number of different Business and Skills projects.
To deliver economic growth, we need to unlock the West of England’s full potential and this means we need the right infrastructure to provide homes, support jobs and enable people to move around our region.
Our 2018-19 Annual Report tells you about the work we have done to drive clean and inclusive growth and create a better future for everyone in the West of England. The report also includes the LEP Delivery Plan for 2019/20. The LEP Delivery Plan for 2020-21 has been incorporated into our Business Plan for 2020-21 which was approved by WECA and Joint Committee on Friday 31 January 2020.
Through the LEP, we are funding projects that are benefiting businesses, schools, colleges, universities and residents across the region. You can read more about them on our news page.
