123kW Solar PV Installation

Turnkey design, supply, installation and commissioning of a fully compliant to specification 123kW roof mounted solar PV installation for a manufacturing company in Bristol.

This tender starts on 10th January 2022 and finishes on 20th January 2022.

Project

These planned works will form part of a larger works contract that is replacing the existing asbestos roof sheeting with new insulated roof cladding and replacing the existing energy inefficient lighting with LED equivalent.  The successful party will be expected to be appointed by the Main Contractor for the work following tender adjudication by the project manager.

Specifications

Solar Edge solar PV system inclusive of black JA or Trina (Tier1) solar modules, Solar Edge inverter(s) with 20-year warranties and optimisers with a 25-year warranty, upgraded monitoring functionality affording full site demand and consumption modelling in addition to solar generation.  Installation team to be a minimum SSSTS certified.  O&M handover training provided complete with first year system health checks.

Solar Edge communications board with the integrated weather station at roof level to provide performance monitoring against irradiance and temperature readings from the site for enhanced reporting and ease of operating and maintenance.

Supply and installation of Solar Edge Firefighter Gateway enabling system to be integrated to existing alarm system.

Tender timelines

Tender starts – 09:00 on 10th January 2022

Tender Finishes – 12:00 on 20th January 2022

Installation timelines

Project to be undertaken in Phases and to start in January 2022 and complete in April 2022.

Selection process

Any tender received will be reviewed by the project manager using the criterial and scoring matrix set out in this opportunity.  Each contractor will bear all costs of quoting and the client is under no obligation to accept the lowest or any quotes received.  The project managers decision will be final.

Assessment of bids will according to the following criteria and weightings:

  • Proven track record of delivering similar projects to a high standard – 60%
  • Competitively-priced quote, representing good value for money, including warranty, aftercare, etc. – 40%

Bids will be scored against these criteria as follows:

The standard of the response is very high and the relevance of the response and the supporting evidence is very comprehensive and provides the purchasing company with a very high level of confidence in the bidder’s experience, capacity and capability to meet the purchasing company’s requirements.

The response is comprehensive and supported by a good standard of relevant evidence and provides the purchasing company with a good standard of confidence in the bidder’s experience, capacity and capability to meet its requirements.

The response is satisfactory and supported by an acceptable standard of relevant evidence but with some reservations/issues not addressed. The purchasing company is satisfied with the bidder’s experience, capacity and capability to meet its requirements.

Large portions of the response are not satisfactory and/or are not supported by a satisfactory level of evidence and the purchasing company has limited confidence in the bidder’s experience, capacity and capability to meet its requirements.

The response and/or the evidence are deficient (or not relevant) in the majority of areas and the purchasing company has a low level of confidence in the bidder’s experience, capacity and capability to meet its requirements.

No response and/or evidence is unacceptable or non-existent, or there is a failure to properly address any issue. The purchasing company does not have any confidence in the bidder’s experience, capacity and ability to meet its requirements.
