What is National Skills Fund Level 3?

National Skills Fund Level 3 offers free courses for jobs within high demand sectors to people aged 19 and over. These courses are fully funded through the Combined Authority’s Adult Education Budget and the Department of Education and forming part of the National Skills Fund.

What is the Combined Authority’s offer?

If you are aged 19 or over you could access a course for free, as part of the support available from the government to help you gain the skills you need to get the job you want - whatever your stage of life.

The free courses are level 3 qualifications, which is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or A levels.

The government pays the course fees. Some of these qualifications are available to study online or part-time. You may be able to get help to pay for childcare, travel and other costs.

How can I get involved?

You are eligible if either:

You are aged 19 or over and do not already have a level 3 qualification or higher. Level 3 is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or A levels.

Or;

You already have a level 3 qualification or higher, but you earn below the National Living Wage annually £19,305.00 from April 2022 or are unemployed.
