West of England Combined Authority and Joint Committee meetings

The next meeting of the West of England Combined Authority Committee and the West of England Joint Committee will be held on Friday 25 June, at 11.15 am at Kingswood Civic Centre.

This will be the first meeting chaired by the new Metro Mayor, Dan Norris. It will be attended by Bath & North East Somerset Council Leader, Cllr Kevin Guy; Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees, and South Gloucestershire Council Leader, Cllr Toby Savage. The Chair of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Professor Steve West, will also attend.

The Committee meeting – which will be live-streamed on the West of England Combined Authority’s YouTube channel – will be held jointly with a meeting of the West of England Joint Committee, which is the decision-making body for issues relating to the West of England Combined Authority, Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire councils, and the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership. Cllr Don Davies, Leader of North Somerset Council will join the discussions on Joint Committee items.

Members of the public can present submitted statements at the meeting – please note though that due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and the current capacity limits at the meeting venue, it may be necessary to limit the number of people able to physically attend.  All statements will be published on the website.

The Combined Authority’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee will meet in advance of the committees on Wednesday 23 June at 10.30am.
