The West of England Combined Authority will hold its second Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting on Tuesday October 24.
The committee, made up of 11 members from the across the Combined Authority region, will be chaired for the first time by Cllr Stephen Clarke (Bristol) who was elected alongside vice-chair Cllr Steve Pearce (Bristol) in September.
It will consider the Joint Spatial Plan (JSP), budget and investment reports before they go to the next West of England Combined Authority and West of England Joint Committee meetings on October 30.
The Committee meeting starts at 10am at Somerdale Pavilion, Tiberius Road, Keynsham, BS31 6ER.
Ahead of Scrutiny, on Monday October 23, there will also be a public meeting of the Infrastructure Advisory Board, made up of cabinet members from the four councils with responsibility for planning, housing and transport, plus a business representative. This will also consider the draft JSP before it goes to the Joint Committee meeting.
The Infrastructure Advisory Board will start at 2.30pm at Armada House, Telephone Avenue, Bristol BS1 4BQ.
The JSP will set out the framework for an approach to future housing, transport and infrastructure planning until 2036. Once adopted it will guide local plans in the region.
