Helen Godwin, Mayor of the West of England, said:
“My thoughts are with everyone affected by today’s deeply upsetting further news.
"The combined authority and I remain unable to comment on an ongoing police investigation.”
Speaking on the wider issues, the Mayor said:
"Together we must continue to support and stand with all survivors of rape and sexual assault.
"There is a responsibility on us all to tackle the epidemic of violence against women and girls, and to extinguish misogyny and rape culture."
