Meet Bristol & Bath launches new regional event planners guide

Meet Bristol & Bath team with Dan Norris

The newly established Meet Bristol & Bath Convention Bureau has  launched a new guide for event planners considering the West of England for future corporate events, conferences, and incentive travel.

The new guide, produced in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority and Invest Bristol & Bath contains information about the region’s economic sector strengths in Advanced Engineering & Aerospace, Digital and Creative, High Tech, Energy, Life Sciences and Financial and Professional services, plus recommendations for a range of trusted venues and suppliers.

Metro Mayor Dan Norris said: "I love the West of England. It is a vibrant and exciting region which is a great place to go on holiday or hold a business event. We've got wonderful places to visit and fabulous facilities for conferencing and events. Make the West of England your go-to region!."

The Convention Bureau’s key objectives are to proactively promote the region for business events, working with local partners to secure new business.  The guide highlights a range of the Bureau’s free to use services including bid support, venue and accommodation booking, connections with local suppliers and industry specialists, together with expert knowledge and insights to support those bringing their event to the West of England.

Amy Bramhall, Convention Bureau Manager, Meet Bristol & Bath, said: "We're excited to launch this informative and useful resource for event planners which will support the team in attracting and securing business events for the region."

A new website has also been launched providing full details of how the bureau can support event planners and highlights what the region has to offer in its entirety, as well as focused sections for each city and their surrounding areas.
