1 May election result declared

The results in the election of the next Mayor of the West of England Combined Authority, held on Thursday 1 May, have been confirmed.

Stephen Peacock, the Combined Authority Returning Officer, declared the following results at Oasis Academy Brislington in Bristol at around 05:00 on Friday 2 May.

HENMAN, Oli (Liberal Democrats): 28,711
PAGE, Mary (Green Party): 41,094
SCOTT, Ian Keith Mark (Independent): 4,682
SMITH, Steve (The Conservative Party Candidate): 34,092

Number of rejected ballot papers: 529

The candidate with the most votes was Helen Godwin, who has been duly elected as West of England Combined Authority Mayor.
