Carbon Surveys
Find ways to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions in your business with a free visit from one of our advisors.
Why should I get a Carbon Survey?
We help you understand your bills and find where the energy hotspots could be in your business.
We’ll visit and get to know you and your premises, then suggest ways to reduce your impact on the environment. We can recommend the best practice in your industry, as well as new technologies and ideas.
We can tell you about grants and discounts available to carry out improvement works. You need to have had a Carbon Survey or similar to apply for Green Business Grant, Rooftop Solar Grant or Heat Pump Grant.
You don’t always need to spend to save, a lot can be done for little or no upfront cost. We can show you how.
Warmer in winter and cooler in summer, building resilience to the impacts of climate change.
What should I expect?
A Carbon Survey normally consists of around 12 hours of support per business, provided free of charge by our Technical Advisors.
When you apply, you will need to send us 12 months energy data such as bills or meter readings. More information about what you could provide can be found in our Energy Data Guide.
During the survey, we will get to know your business, find out how you operate and take a look at the construction, services and lighting systems in your building. We’ll try to answer any questions you might have and provide solutions where we can. The visit normally takes 1-2 hours depending on the size of your business.
A few weeks after we visit, we will send you a Carbon Report which will summarise our findings and recommendations. You can use this report to support an application for one of our grants, if you meet the eligibility criteria.
