Will moved to Bristol from London earlier this year to work self-employed within production and marketing in the live music and nightclub industry. Then the coronavirus pandemic led to all his work being cancelled.
Hearing about Future Bright on Facebook, Will got in touch and started working with career progression coach Mike to figure out his next steps.
Will said: “Mike was clear and concise in explaining everything on offer to me. After some consideration, I decided to enrol on a course that would enable me to hone my skills in audio mixing and mastering. There is a lack of affordable mastering engineers in Bristol, and as a musician and producer myself, I am beginning to meet lots of people who I could work for with these skills. It would also enable me to start my own recording/production studio in the future – a long term goal of mine.”
Will and his coach Mike talked regularly to develop an action plan and progress. Will said: “Mike has been excellent and has been incredibly helpful throughout – his experience is evident.
Very quickly I felt comfortable talking with Mike on the phone, discussing options, plans, decisions etc. and we shared some stories and laughs together which has been great. The only shame is that we couldn’t have met in person!”
Will is now feeling more positive about his future and says that “Future Bright has helped me put a few more tools in my locker, for which I am very grateful.”
