European Regional Development Fund

TrueStart Coffee is family- run, Bristol based, Certified B Corporation which supplies ethically produced award-winning coffee to more than four thousand retailers across the UK and international markets. Sustainability is at the heart of the company’s decision-making from sourcing to roasting and packaging to shipping.

TrueStart Coffee used its Business Growth Grant to extend its range of sugar-free, healthy coffee drinks, developing a new salted caramel flavoured drink to break into new markets and win new national listings.

The impact

The new product has quickly become a top-selling line for TrueStart Coffee and enabled the company to take on an additional field sales employee. It has helped to win new customers including Google and TrueStart Coffee’s products are now available at one hundred Spar stores across the South West.

West of England Business Growth Grants

The grants supported businesses from all sectors to recover from the challenges presented by Covid-19. Grants of up to £6,000 were available to support businesses with their plans to sustain or drive growth, by implementing new business practices or adopting new ways of working.
