Creativity Works’ Co|Create programme – Community Support Fund

Creativity Works person-centred co|Create programme removes barriers to ensure people living with long-term physical or mental health conditions can access their training.

Participants attend a succession of workshops that seek to build confidence, skills and resilience. Creativity is at the heart of the programme supporting problem solving, communication and expressing things that would otherwise be difficult. The programme gently builds in intensity and opportunity to grow capacity, encouraging participants to explore further training, volunteering or work. Sally, who attended the co|Create programme, recounts her experience:

“Making the sessions so accessible is what broke the cycle of isolation due to my disability. Participation gave me joy and feelings of happiness…. I felt respected and heard, motivated, and inspired. The sessions helped me be in touch again with my own skills and capabilities.”

Sally is now planning to become a self-employed facilitator in the future and is about to run her very first workshop about Self Compassion with Creativity Works.

Participation gave me joy and feelings of happiness…. I felt respected and heard, motivated, and inspired. The sessions helped me be in touch again with my own skills and capabilities.
