Businesses thanked for PPE support – but more help needed

Image of Support local NHS servicesMany businesses have already come forward to supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline health and social care workers across the West of England – but more help is needed.

Major contributors – including the University of the West of England, University of Bath, University of Bristol, Viper Innovations and have all supplied PPE alongside a legion of others, including hairdressers, vets, property managers, builders, pubs and beauty salons.

Any business that can help in any way, no matter how big or small their contribution could be, is asked to send an email to:

Business owners who are unsure whether their equipment is suitable for use are still strongly encouraged to make contact, as teams are on hand to provide advice.

Regional Mayor Tim Bowles said: “We all have a role to play and my team at The West of England Combined Authority has been working closely with partners in the NHS and our councils to contact businesses who may be able to help donate PPE, or change production to essential equipment.

“Thank you to the many businesses, large and small, who have come forward to help our region’s incredible frontline health and social care workers. This has always been a region where people and businesses work together to support each other, and this has never been more important than at this time of national need. So if your business is able to help, please do get in touch.”
