Business Plan
This plan sets out the activity we will focus on this year to progress delivery of the West of England Growth Strategy - a year in which we become eligible for Established Strategic Authority Status for the first time.
Our plan covers seven priorities:
In some areas we will be delivering on the ground - starting construction of the Portishead rail line, retrofitting thousands of homes, and supporting people into work through programmes like the Youth Guarantee. In others, we are laying the groundwork: developing sector growth plans, a Spatial Development Strategy, and a new regional transport strategy.

We want to transform our region.
The next decade will see the West of England change. Growth will mean more job opportunities, new homes, an injection in pace and investment in the transformation of our transport network and the strengthening of those relationships that will help us deliver.
In 10 years, the action in this strategy will deliver tangible change and improve the lives of the people who call this region home.
