Nominations to stand at this election start at 10am on Wednesday 26 March 2025 and close at 4pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025.

Prospective Candidate and Agent Bulletin No.1 contains details on the nomination process, the deposit required to stand, links to spending rules and limits and the election timetable.
You must submit your nomination paper in person to Electoral Services, B Bond, Smeaton Road, Bristol, BS1 6XN. Appointments are preferred for informal checks of nomination papers. These are available with one of our Electoral Services Managers from 10am to 4pm between the date periods mentioned above by contacting Elections@westofengland-ca.gov.uk.
Mayoral Booklet
Guidance to candidates booklet submissions (pdf) contains details on the requirement for a booklet to be sent to every elector eligible to vote. This guidance provides details to candidates on submitting an entry into the booklet which will be sent to every eligible elector in the combined authority area.
