The election will be held on Thursday 1 May 2025. The deadline to register to vote for this election is midnight Friday 11 April 2025. The deadline to apply:
You can vote in person, by post or by proxy for this election. If you vote in person you will need to provide Voter ID. Click here for the list of valid Voter ID. If you don’t have any valid ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
Polling stations offer a range of support to disabled voters, including voters with a learning disability.
Contact your local Authority to find out about the voting process and your local polling station.
If you are a disabled voter and you need support to complete a ballot paper on your own, you can take a friend or relative to the polling station to help you.
The leading officer at the polling station can also help you fill in your ballot paper.
If you do not want to go to the polling station to vote you can vote by post or by proxy.
